Moreover, the impact of cold weather on the range of electric vehicles was a concern for four in ten consumers. Cold temperatures can substantially reduce the battery’s range, potentially affecting the usability of EVs in regions with harsh winters.

AAA encourages consumers to delve deeper into the benefits of electric vehicle ownership to determine if going electric aligns with their individual needs and values. Owning an electric vehicle can bring about substantial fuel savings and contribute to a greener, cleaner environment. However, it is essential to address the existing barriers and ensure that infrastructure, such as charging stations, is accessible and reliable.
