Expect the Arrival of the Mid-2024 Bugatti

Bugatti is set to unveil a new car in 2024, which is expected to be an exclusive model available only to the ultra-wealthy. While there have been rumors about the engine specifications, Bugatti has remained tight-lipped and refused to comment on the speculation. However, it has been confirmed that the new car will feature an internal combustion engine, although not the iconic W16 engine found in previous models.

The current speculations suggest that the retiring quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine will be replaced by either a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 engine developed by Cosworth, a smaller engine such as the Lamborghini Revuelto’s V12, or the Volkswagen Group’s V8 engine. It is also possible that Bugatti will introduce a completely new engine for this upcoming model. Regardless of the engine choice, company officials have confirmed that the new Bugatti will be a hybrid.

Bugatti-Rimac CEO Mate Rimac has stated that the follow-up to the Chiron will be astonishing, with never-before-seen features and a “heavily electrified” powertrain based around a combustion engine. Former Bugatti Director of Design, Achim Anscheidt, has also mentioned that the upcoming car will surpass the Mistral in terms of innovation and unexpectedness.

Design work on the new Bugatti has been ongoing since 2021, with the car being the final project of Achim Anscheidt before his retirement in 2023. Frank Heyl has taken over as the head of design for future Bugatti vehicles.

In terms of production and availability, the new Bugatti is expected to have an even smaller production run than its predecessors, with only 500 units of the Chiron and 450 units of the Veyron produced. The company showcased the new model behind closed doors in November 2023, and deliveries to customers are scheduled to start in 2026.

Bugatti has been keeping busy with the final production of the Mistral and Bolide models, which are limited to 99 and 40 units, respectively. Meanwhile, it recently delivered the last “standard” Chiron to a customer.

In conclusion, Bugatti enthusiasts can anticipate the unveiling of an exciting new car in 2024. While specific details about the engine and other features are still unknown, the company promises that it will be a groundbreaking and technologically advanced vehicle. Stay tuned for further updates on this highly anticipated release.
