    Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the enthralling snapshot above. ASWN recently held a Halloween costume contest, and the captured moment perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the event. Thirteen students and employees went all out, showcasing their incredible costumes. Congratulations to the winner, Maggie Densford! A special shoutout to ASWN President Alyssa Butler and Andy Torres for clinching the top three prizes. We love celebrating creativity and community spirit!

    But that’s not all the excitement that happened during Halloween at WNC. Between classes, students indulged in a delectable feast of pizza, candy, and refreshments. The fun didn’t stop there, as they also took part in pumpkin decorating and a costume contest. It was the perfect opportunity for students to learn more about the programs and services offered by the college. And if that wasn’t enough, the Psychology Club organized a prize raffle to raise funds for its functions. Lucky winners walked away with fantastic prizes such as a $50 gift card to Red’s 395 Grill, courtesy of Red’s, a $25 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory, thanks to Bighorn Mechanical, and a $25 gift card to Texas Roadhouse, also courtesy of Bighorn Mechanical.     Shifting gears to sports, WNC recently played host to an exhilarating event – the Nevada Interscholastic Cycling Association’s season-ending Carson Crusher, presented by Visit Carson City. More than 300 talented mountain bike riders from middle school and high school competed on the network of trails adjacent to WNC’s Carson City campus. It was a sight to behold, with over 1,000 spectators in attendance, leading to sold-out hotel rooms across Carson. This event, along with the Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs held in July, solidifies WNC’s position as a premier host for athletic events.
