The highly-anticipated Cybertruck is just around the corner, but there are still many unknowns about this futuristic vehicle. We have yet to learn the price of this stainless steel-clad pickup and its estimated range on a single charge. Even more concerning, we don’t know how much cargo the Cybertruck will be able to haul, and Tesla’s delivery event is right around the corner.
One leaked video on social media reveals a cramped cabin in the truck, surprising many who expected more space in a full-sized pickup. And it seems this lack of space extends to the truck bed as well. Images circulating online demonstrate that not even a mountain bike can fully fit in the bed. Another photo on the Cybertruck subreddit shows most of a Christmas tree sticking out from the back of the truck. These images provide clear evidence that the Cybertruck may not compare to other pickup trucks in terms of utility.
During Tesla’s Q2 earning report, it was revealed that the 19-foot Cybertruck would feature a truck bed longer than six feet. This explains why the mountain bike in the previous photo extended beyond the bed. However, the oddly-angled sides of the Cybertruck’s bed complicate things. Previous images suggest that the bed is narrower at the bottom than at the top, which could limit the amount of cargo that can be stored in it.
Ultimately, we will have to wait and see how much room the bed truly offers and if it can accommodate items like Christmas trees. What we do know is that customers will have to wait longer than Christmas Day to get their hands on a Cybertruck. Despite the uncertainties and limitations, the Cybertruck continues to generate excitement, and people are eager to see what this futuristic vehicle has in store.
